The font is unpacked locally—and stays in your browser.

A single-font TTF/OTF you choose is read as an ArrayBuffer on the current page. FontScope does not upload the font or access system font catalogs, font-installation APIs, or remote preview services.

Directory preflight, not full font certification

The tool checks the sfnt version, table-record bounds, four-byte alignment, tag ordering and duplicates, checksums, table-range overlaps, and common required tags. A file is limited to 256 MB, and TTC/OTC collections are rejected. It does not parse glyph outlines, OpenType Layout, hinting, variation axes, or license terms, and cannot prove visual correctness, platform compatibility, or lawful distribution.

Font files and licensing details can be sensitive

Inspect only fonts you are authorized to handle, preferably on a trusted device. File selection begins only after your click; refreshing or closing discards file bytes and results. The report studio and checkpoints read the visible summary and do not include raw font bytes. Before copying, downloading, printing, or sharing a report, still review whether font names and directory details are safe to disclose.

Advertising and local preferences

This page uses Google AdSense Auto Ads. Google may use cookies or similar technologies under its policies. .miluland.com domain cookies sync language, theme, high contrast, a six-item recent-tools list, and up to 16 favorite tool IDs across MiluLand sites. These values never contain inputs, files, or results; the current site also keeps a local compatibility copy.

Local report studio

The report studio reads only the workbench’s currently visible result summary for local preview, Markdown copy, JSON download, printing, and a SHA-256 fingerprint. It never reads input controls or original files and is not persisted unless you choose to download it.

Optional local checkpoints

Only when you explicitly choose Save does the tool write the visible result summary, time, and optional short label to this site’s browser storage, up to five entries. Imported files and input-control contents are never stored; you can export, restore same-tool checkpoints, or clear them at any time. Imports are limited to 128KB and validate the tool, timestamp, summary, and label of up to 80 characters.
